2022 Festival Program Guide

Onstage Events

Our Onstage Events were be held in-person this year. Our events include authors in conversation, solo presentations and readings, with some tweaks in mind.

Onstage Festival Pass
$180 (a value of $450!)
See over 20 regular onstage events. 
Look for the ticket icon to see all the eligible events including:
Morning coffee events (#11 & #19), #25. The Big Idea and #10. The Myth of Normal.
Exclusions: Separate tickets must be purchased for Writers Retreat Master Classes, Food events, and Trivia Night.  Virtual tickets are not available for our Food events and Trivia Night.

Writers Studio Master Classes

Our Writers Studio Master Classes offer you the opportunity to learn practical writing techniques from award-winning and critically acclaimed authors in an intimate, judgement-free environment.

$360 Four-Day, 12 class Retreat 

Writers Retreat Individual Tickets
$40 Choose from a dozen classes

Exclusions: Separate tickets must be purchased for our Festival onstage events. Virtual tickets will not be sold for our Writers Retreat classes.

Ticketing Info

Prices include HST. Food Events include 15% gratuity. Handling fees extra. All events are unassigned seating. 

Advance ticket sales end at midnight on Tuesday, September 27. Door pricing in effect Wednesday, September, 28. We are happy to provide a discount of 10 – 20%, depending on the event, for our 60+ guests.

Passcode for Senior’s discount: KWF60. Please be sure to enter the passcode at the bottom of the page to get access to the discounted tickets.

We believe that all readers, regardless of economic circumstance, deserve access to Canadian books and author events. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. Please email info@kingstonwritersfest.ca.

*Please Note: All ticket dates on Brown Paper Tickers are tied to the Festival date (September 28th). Your ticket will be accepted as long as the purchased ticket is for the specific event (Number & Name). Please be mindful of the time and date for your own schedule. *

Youth Events

Kingston WritersFest opens the world to students through events designed to bring to life ideas discussed in the classroom, at home, and beyond.

We offer a wide range of nationally and internationally renowned authors chosen for their compelling subjects and their ability to connect with kids and teenagers, as well as adults.

STUDENT EVENTS 
Purchase deadline is 11:59pm, Friday September 16 for reserved tickets. Unpaid holds will be released for general sale on Monday, September 19.

TeensWrite! Master Classes
$10 adv / $15 door
Students 14 – 19 years only 
Enrolment limited to 40   

Festival Field Trip Events
High-school students and accompanying adults   
$5 adv / $10 door 

STUDENT RUSH SEATS
Free rush seats to onstage events for post-secondary students with valid ID. Available fifteen minutes before curtain. 

Exclusions: Writers Retreat Master Classes, Food events, and Trivia Night.

Please choose your tickets carefully. No exchanges or refunds.
