22. Beneath the Surface: Identities in Rupture: Memoir

October 1, 2022 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Joshua Whitehead with Marshall Hill

Oji-Cree/nehiyaw, Two-Spirit/Indigiqueernovelist and poet Joshua Whitehead explores Indigeneity, queerness, the intersections of identity, and mental health in this captivating and much anticipated work of non-fiction, Making Love With the Land. With Marshall Hill, Joshua will discuss his emergence as major voice in the literary landscape following the publication of Jonny Appleseed, what it means to live as a queer Indigenous person “in the rupture” between identities, and the relationship between our bodies and the land we inhabit.

Joshua is sponsored by Coutts & King Inc. Arts Partner Reelout Arts Project.
