Prizewinning playwright and novelist Damian Tarnopolsky leads a masterclass on scene construction. We’ll examine the essentials of writing great scenes in various genres, looking at some classic examples for tips on pacing, motivation, turning points, characterization, and crafting dialogue that crackles and hums. As well as getting to grips with the elements that make fictional and dramatic scenes work, we’ll write and share some great scenes of our own.
