Danielle Younge-Ullman is a former actor who describes her alter ego as “far more blunt and brilliant and sassy and kick-ass than I am. She can fly, speak a bunch of languages, she does all kinds of martial arts and she takes no crap from anyone.”
After 10 years of acting, Danielle began writing teen fiction. She is the author of Everything Beautiful Is Not Ruined, Falling Under, Lola Carlyle’s 12-Step Romance, and He Must Like You. Her most recent novel, He Must Like You, is a fierce story about a teen dealing with sexual harassment as she approaches adulthood. “This novel opens a much-needed conversation about consent, boldly addressing personal and professional assault in an empowering, engrossing read. A must for young women,” says author Lori Goldstein.
Everything Beautiful Is Not Ruined was on the American Library Association’s Best Fiction for Young Adults List and was a finalist for the Governor General’s Award for young adult literature. Quill & Quire describes it as “An emotionally resonant, fabulously crafted novel.”
Danielle lives in Toronto with her husband and two daughters.
