Have an extra ticket to a Kingston WritesFest event that you’d like to sell?

Searching for a ticket to a sold out event? You’ve come to the right place!

Please note – Kingston WritersFest offers this forum for the community’s benefit. We will not monitor posts, and make no guarantee of the authenticity of any transactions that take place. Kingston WritersFest has no control over and does not guarantee the existence, quality, safety or legality of the Tickets; the truth or accuracy of the user’s content or listings; the ability of Sellers to sell tickets or Buyers to pay for them; or that a Buyer or Seller will complete a transaction.
Here are a few tips to keep in mind before you buy or sell:
    • Always transact in person. In fact, we recommend meeting the seller at a place where you can actually have the tickets verified and authenticated. The majority of scams happen when transactions occur using online money transfers like Western Union or MoneyGram. Fraudsters will ask that potential buyers send a deposit, or the full amount, before they send the tickets. They typically disappear once the money has been received.
    • Be careful of transactions that seem to be happening too fast and make you feel uncomfortable. While certain situations may require a quick sale, these should only be done in person and with hard tickets. Scammers like to put unnecessary pressure on people so they make poor decisions. Chances are that if you are being rushed into something, it isn’t going to end well.
